Composition

• Amoxycillin 1.0g

• Potassium Clavulanate 0.2g

This combination antibiotic works by killing bacteria and preventing bacterial resistance, making the treatment more effective against infections.

Uses of MEVCLAV-1.2

MEVCLAV-1.2 Injection is used for the treatment of moderate to severe bacterial infections, including:

• Respiratory tract infections such as pneumonia and bronchitis

• Urinary tract infections (UTIs)

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Bone and joint infections

• Abdominal infections and sepsis

How It Works

Amoxycillin destroys infection-causing bacteria, while Clavulanate helps block bacterial enzymes that can reduce the effectiveness of antibiotics. Together, they provide broad-spectrum antibacterial action.

• For I.V. use only — to be administered by a healthcare professional

• Prescription (Rx) medicine — use only under medical supervision

• Common side effects may include nausea, diarrhea, skin rash, or injection site discomfort

• Avoid use in patients allergic to penicillin or cephalosporin antibiotics

• Use with caution in patients with liver disorders or previous antibiotic-related jaundice

Dosage

Dosage depends on the type and severity of infection, as well as the patient’s kidney function. Use strictly as prescribed by your doctor.

Storage

Store below 25°C in a cool and dry place. After reconstitution, use immediately as per hospital or medical guidelines.
